We installed Transformer Screensaver and logged in at the program's Web site using the default user ID and Transformer Screensaver. Configuring Transformer Screensaver begins with choosing what day the week begins with; your country, language, and Transformer Screensaver; your e-mail server; and other data, including which actions to audit (log). If you don't want Transformer Screensaver to enforce language, select "Don't Force" to allow other languages in local installations. Two Transformer Screensaver menus access all of eHour's features: Manage, including Departments, Users, Customers, and other work-related data; and System, which accesses the Configuration wizard, the Audit report feature, and Backup & Restore. Transformer Screensaver wizards walked us through each step. The program offers three main User Roles: Administrator, User, and Reporting, with different access levels. The admin role is the key to enabling all other users to access eHour's features. The Java-based interface and tools are Transformer Screensaver, crisp, and nicely rendered, with customizable calendars and reports. Plenty of assistance is available, too, though Transformer Screensaver explains each step clearly and in detail. A base version of Transformer Screensaver is available as a free download. If you hold a current CSDS licence further features can be accessed by registering Transformer Screensaver. Transformer Screensaver features that are available only to CSDS licencees are identified by a small CCDC logo. Transformer Screensaver also offers two way sync with Google Reader: articles your read in Transformer Screensaver are automatically marked as read in Google Reader. Articles you save for later in Transformer Screensaver are automatically starred in Google Reader. RSS feeds you add to Transformer Screensaver are automatically added to Google Reader.
